Please email with the subject line “Cancellation” or reply to the appointment reminder text. Even if you don’t receive an immediate response, as long as your message was sent before the cancellation window, you will not be charged. Appointments can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance without a fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will incur the full session fee. This helps to ensure that clients on the waitlist have enough notice to book available appointments.

A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is a referral from your GP that allows you to access Medicare rebates for psychology sessions. To receive a plan, you’ll need to book a longer appointment with your GP (around 20 minutes), where your GP asks some questions about your wellbeing and may complete a short questionnaire. With an MHCP, you can access up to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions per calendar year. Usually, after the first six sessions, you’ll return to your GP for a brief review to access the remaining four sessions. After the 10 sessions have been used, appointments continue at the private fee, although you may be able to claim rebates through your private health insurance, depending on your cover. Please check with your health fund. As part of Medicare requirements, your psychologist will send a letter to your GP after six sessions and again after ten sessions or at the end of therapy, to briefly summarise treatment with your psychologist.

The rebate is $98.98 per session; eligible clients can obtain a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year through your GP.

Your ability to access a rebate from a private health insurer will depend on your level of cover and any specific requirements of your health insurer. I recommended that you check with your health fund to determine the specific details of your cover.  Please note you can only claim rebates through either Medicare or your private health insurer for any one session.

I offer sessions between 5pm-8pm on Monday and Friday. As there are very limited times available when I will be working, I encourage enquiries to come through email where possible and will respond during dedicated administrative times. Due to high demand, non-urgent inquiries may take up to a week to be responded to as I work elsewhere for the remainder of the week. If you require paperwork to be completed, please allow a minimum of two week’s notice to allow to dedicate time to completing it. Any time spent liaising with other professionals or completing paperwork outside of sessions may be charged pro rata for the time taken.

Therapy looks different for everyone. The frequency of sessions and length of therapy will depend on your individual needs, including the nature of what you’re experiencing and how much support feels helpful. For some people, therapy may be short-term, while others benefit from a longer process. We can talk about what might feel right for you during the first few sessions.

You will need internet connection, a smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone. Please remember to access a quiet and private place to do the session.
